Google users perform an average of 54.5 searches a month according to the latest figures from comScore, more than double the combined number of searches made by Yahoo! and Microsoft search users.
Google users are also the most loyal, making nearly 70 per cent of all their internet searches on Google. Users of Microsoft and Yahoo! search, by contrast, only used those search engines 33 per cent of the time, using a combination of other search services, such as Google, the rest of the time.

Microsoft and Yahoo! recently signed a 10-year partnership deal to counter Google's dominance. The agreement will see Microsoft offering its Bing search technology across all Yahoo! properties, while Yahoo! offers its advertising expertise.
Google accounts for about 65 per cent of the search market in the United States, while Yahoo! and Microsoft combined enjoy a 28 per cent share, according to comScore.
"[Microsoft and Yahoo!] have a real opportunity to make headway given that nearly three-quarters of all searchers conduct at least one search on these engines every month," said Eli Goodman, an analyst with comScore.
"The challenge will be to create a search experience compelling enough to convert lighter searchers into regular searchers which is generally easier than converting new users."
Bing, Microsoft's recently launched search portal, had a 9.41 per cent share of the US search market in July, according to internet data firm StatCounter. That was up from 8.23 per cent in June, while Google's share dipped slightly last month, down 0.94 per cent to a 77.54 per cent share.
