Virus that turns your iPhone into a zombie

An iPhone virus that turns your mobile into a zombie has infected a number of handsets in Europe, a security firm has warned today.

Reports suggest the new worm, called 'Duh' or 'Ikee.B' by researchers, is spreading quickly in The Netherlands.

Some Dutch iPhone users visiting their online bank ING through their mobiles have reported being redirected to an imitation site by the worm, leaving them vulnerable to cyber criminals.

However, security analysts at Sophos say only jailbroken phones are at risk. Jailbreaking is a hacking process that allows devices to bypass the official App Store and run unapproved services.

Around four million out of 40million iPhones are believed to be jailbroken by their owners.

'Duh' can hunt for 'cracked' iPhones on a wide range of IP addresses including Australia, The Netherlands and Portugal.

The malicious virus appeared just two weeks after an Australian student created the first iPhone virus, which changed a user's wallpaper to a photo of singer Rick Astley.

BitTorrent Absolute Downloader 2.88 contains virus

Warning, i tried to download BitTorrent Absolute Downloader 2.88 from one site. But guess what, my Avast antivirus detected that it contains Trojan virus. Wonder why that popular freeware site got virus in it. But hey, nothing impossible now and in internet world, DTA (Don't Trust Anybody) can be change to DTAS (Don't Trust Any Software).

I just abort the connection to that software, don't want to take any risk of it, because not worth to add more risks when there are many risks of viruses now.

So for torrent fans, becareful when you try to download software to speed up your torrent download. Not all can be trusted especially when it is freeware. Make sure your antivirus always updated and works fine. Quickly abort connection when virus been detected before it will activate itself in your PC.

So beware of any sites that provide software to be download, whether it is trusted site or not because anything can happen. Many bad guys are waiting the opportunities to enter your PC with their viruses creation.

Virus in Gothic 3 v1.12 update

Beware when you download updates for Gothic 3, especially what i found a few moments ago. The virus lay in Gothic 3.exe and it's called Trojan Horse generic5.JKL . It maybe infected other files too but i notice only Netscape file infected so far.

I scanned with AVG Antivirus, while my running Avast did not detect it. That's why i prefer to scan with more than one antivirus because we cannot rely to only one. Sometimes AVG can detect and other times AVG cannot detect but Avast can. So they have their own advantages and disadvantages. For me, it's better to scan with more than one. But be cautious, only one antivirus can be set as a main one (as one of a startup file and activate live) in the same time or else they maybe clash.

I forgot from which site i download that update file. It is an update to v1.12 and the Gothic 3 icon did not appear at the EXE file. Just becareful and scan with AVG or other antiviruses first before running the program. I recommend to use AVG too. Good luck and all the best!

How to clean ac8zt2 virus

My pc was infected by ac8zt2 virus. Avast antivirus keeps warning me about it. It keeps coming out even after been deleted. If this happen to your PC, then i recommend you to use these Antivirus and anti spywares;

Antivirus = Avast antivirus ( because it can detect this kind of virus and can delete it , but still the virus hide somewhere else and keep coming out) and AVG (helps me a lots and kill the virus). But please set just one antivirus for the startup. It is harmful if we put more than one antivirus at the startup. For safety, just put one and the other is only for scanning purpose.

Then i try to scan spyware / adware with

SUPERAntiSpyware (led by Nick Skrepetos) and Ad-Aware from Lavasoft (free version requires automatic updating).

After cleaning your system, disable System Restore, reboot and re-enable System Restore when you log back on. This will clear the malware that may still be lurking in System Restore, which could be reinstalled should you need to rollback at some point. Additionally, a reboot may be required to complete the malware removal process. For reasons this should be done after and not before malware removal.
