According to Reuters today (11 August 2009), about 50 million women in Asia are at risk of the killer disease (HIV) infection because of the risky sexual behavior of their husbands or boyfriends. Over 90 percent of the 1.7 million women now living with HIV in Asia became infected while being in monogamous, long-term relationships with men who engaged in risky sex behavior, reported by UNAIDS.
It's all about human behaviour. There are lots we can do to avoid this deadly disease. But the important is we must avoid bad habits like free sex, men who have sex with men, lesbians, paid sex including prostitution, injecting drug users, and so on that can transmit the virus to their partners.

I think most of major religions in this world prohibit bad habits as stated above, but man being egoist still want to commit what they think can give them more satisfaction, but they don't know the consequences are really fatal.
