Military robots exhibition at DARPATech 2007

Little Dog

Robot for military, that's a really nice concept comparing with human for military. At least human is not killing each other but just testing power to see who's gonna be the winner. Even it's not so wise too but at least it's better than bring man to war. But we still cannot determine all these are better or not because it's not happening yet and still under progress. Maybe sometime in a future, we gonna see war between countries with robot as the army.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is the central research and development organization for the Department of Defense (DoD). It manages and directs selected basic and applied research and development projects for DoD, and pursues research and technology where risk and payoff are both very high and where success may provide dramatic advances for traditional military roles and missions. DARPATech 2007 exhibition is fulled with crawling robots.

In this exhibition, we can see videos of robotic surgeons and scale models of giant unmanned ground vehicles and a snake-like bot encased in glass. But for the most part, these robots are static props, the machine equivalent of stuffed Siberian tigers, frozen mid-leap, in a natural history museum.
