Run Windows XP inside Linux Mint 7 with VirtualBox OSE
I installed VirtualBox OSE couples days ago in my Linux Mint 7. Of course my purpose is to run another OS in this Linux OS and this time i try to run Windows XP as a virtual machine in it. Before i installed it i thought the virtual machine can read all partitions in my hard disk. Apparently, it can only read the virtual partition that i made at the installed process of Guest OS (Windows Xp) in VirtualBox.So i must install all the Windows application that i want to use back in that Windows XP in the VirtualBox. It is rather i must install it from a cd / dvd, other removable devices or from the internet. If you want to connect to the internet inside that guest OS, you must first disconnect from Host OS (in this case Linux Mint 7 is the Host OS). I try to connect in the guest OS while in the Host OS is still connecting to the internet but it is not succeed. Maybe it cannot use 2 in 1 connection :D
And unfortunately to me, i set the partition size to this guest OS only 4.5GB. This because i thought it can read other partitions also before. So maybe i will create a New virtual machine again in that VirtualBox, set the partition with larger size that will suit my work in a future, and delete present Virtual machine (guest OS). The snapshot below is the image of My Computer inside the present virtual machine (Windows XP).
Look at the size of C drive, only 4.5GB :D And that virtual machine is inside the windows that can be resized and also can view in fullscreen when we press key CTRL + F. We can set whether to press left CTRL or right CTRL, depends on which is more confortable to us.
The default setting is we must press CTRL key before we can navigate inside the virtual machine and press CTRL again to go out and navigate in Linux again. But there is an easy way that we don't have to do that. Just install Guest additions (option under the Device menu) and it will install the virtual cd inside the virtual machine and we don't have to press CTRL anymore if we want to work in the virtual machine or out of it. And the screen size also enhanced, it will fit the windows when we resize and will full on the screen when we toggle to fullscreen. Below is the snapshots of before using Guest additions and after using it;

Until here for this time, i don't know if i will use this way or not later on because this will use more space in hard disk and quite fussy of course. Maybe i will just using dual boot like before. All the best :)

My Windows XP now looks like Windows 7, Linux Ubuntu and MacOs
I just wanna share what i have been done with my Windows XP now. It is not like Windows XP anymore, including the look, the functions, accessories, features and so on. But i also can't say it Windows 7, nor Windows Vista, nor Linux, nor Mac :D But it is a combination of those OS. So if you want to change your Windows XP like mine now, just install the freewares that i will tell below. They all are free and easy to use!
As you can see in the above picture, there is the icon dock at the top of the desktop, just like in Apple Mac. It is called RK launcher. There are many icon dock like that, but here i'm using RK launcher. You can get it free at http://rk-launcher.en.softonic.com.
The environment in that picture is like Windows 7 right? How can we change Windows XP look and features to Windows 7? It is just like what i wrote in my previous post . I used Seven Transformation pack 2.0 and you can get it free at http://www.windowsxlive.net/seven-transformation-pack .
Winflip
Next we go to switching program feature. Look at the above picture, this is what can be done using Winflip. This software is already packed in Seven Transformation pack 2.0. So you don't have to install it if you want to install STP 2.0. But if you don't want to install STP 2.0 and just want to install Winflip alone, get the installer free at http://winflip.en.softonic.com
Yod'm 3D
And the above picture show the 3d desktop cube like in Ubuntu. You can have that desktop cube in your Windows XP by installing Yod'm 3d. It is also a freeware and you can get it at Winmatrix.com .
But now that freeware is replaced by the new version called Deskspace and no longer free. If you want the better version and more elegant, get it at otakusoftware.com. But i just use the previous version and i get it from the above link :D
And lastly, you can make your windows borders transparent by installing True Transparency. This is what i have told here in my previous post. You can get this freeware at http://truetransparency.en.softonic.com .
So you can transform your Windows XP too. But the stability of the programs and the functionality are depends on your PC specification. Read the programs minimum requirement first before install. I'm sorry if anything bad happen to your pc after you try this. I'm just sharing what i have done and feel good here. I wish you all the best. Have nice days ahead :)

Many softwares i tried before, but i found the nice freeware to make our Windows XP's windows border transparent is True Transparency. We don't have to install it. Just download and open the application file named TrueTransparency.exe. And automatically the windows borders will change to transparent in no time.
How to download?
Just go to CustomXp.net , and click the Telecharger button (the red button). It will download the Winzip file which size is only 316kb. Unzip that file and double click TrueTransparency.exe , and you're done. Good luck and all the best :)

If you want more skins for TT, including the one that is very similar to Windows 7 (Aero Ultimate 7) with glowing effect at close min/max button, go to this devianart page at http://balderoine.deviantart.com/art/Aero-Ultimate-for-TT-93164382 . My suggestion is don't change the skins frequently or TT may crash. But if it's crashed, don't worry, just refresh the desktop and open again the program.

Succeed installing Seven Transformation pack 2.0
I was succeed installing Seven Transformation pack 2.0 in my Windows XP SP2 today, not like Seven skin pack that really gave me bad days like i mentioned in the previous post. So far i like Seven Transformation pack 2.0 especially with the environment that almost looks like Windows 7. Thanx to windowsxlive.net for creating this brilliant software. My Windows XP SP2 now almost looks like Windows 7.
It is also came with other 3rd party softwares that help STP 2.0 more looks and feels like Windows 7. You can read more info at windowsxlive.net and also can download this freeware.
I just wanna share a few functions that i like here. First is the 3rd party software, ViGlance. It is what i like most. It has Aero Peek feature showing live thumbnail on taskbar. You can pin application on taskbar as Windows 7. It also gives the new toolbar icons which is quite small and can be loaded more in toolbar without so many overlapping. Just look at the picture below;

I opened 3 programs and there is still wide space in toolbar. The toolbar is glowing when we highlight with mouse and dimming when the mouse is away from it. That gives a cool animation effect. And couples more exciting effects with ViGlance. But only one problem i faced with it. It is when i opened and work in 3d Studio Max 9. There is a bit problem with 3ds max environment caused by ViGlance. I don't know how to tell here but it is quite disturbing my work.
But that is not a big problem, because i can just turn off/exit ViGlance at the startup bar when i work with 3ds max, and turn on/open again when i'm not using that 3d program.
Another my favourite features in it came from the 3rd party software also. It is Winflip. We can swith to other programs that we opened by just key in ALT-TAB (like usual switching) or other key we set in the program. Or we can just use mouse by drawing a circle on a desktop or click at the edge of the desktop. The Winflip will appear like in the picture below;
This feature is just like what Windows Vista have also. Really nice looking and more easier to switch programs. And now you can have it in Windows XP also.
There are lots more exciting features, and they are waiting for you to explore yourself and have fun with it. And this transformation pack is not just for Windows XP, but also for Windows 2003 and Windows Vista. I tried to install Seven skin pack 3 days ago, in purpose to have a look what Windows 7 will look like. I installed it in my Windows XP SP2. Maybe many of you succeed installing it, but not to me. I succeed install Vista Transformation pack before, that's why i have confidence to try this. But i'm not try Seven Transformation pack from windowsxlive.net yet. Maybe i should try it too but after i install one more Windows XP in another partition. I have phobia to install it right now in my newly installed OS.
So back to my bad days, i think maybe i installed Seven skin pack without running Windows file protection switcher first. Windows file protection switcher is the application that came together with Seven skin pack. They told in Read me file to run this application first. But maybe i was not take attention to it, so that's why i suffer 2 days cannot do my work because my work is 100% related with my PC.

So my advice before you try that freeware, please standby other backup OS in another partition first before you see a blue screen in your monitor caused by Seven skin pack. And if you are working with your PC, i think you better not to install it because the risk is so high and hazardous huhu. For me, i will not try it anymore, enough is enough.

An my earning was credited to cash out history but the status is still UNPAID until now. It means i did not get any payment from them even though i was qualified to get payment. Former Navy Commander Admiral Vladimir Chernavin, told «JV» that in the Soviet Navy had accumulated such a large number of cases, surveillance of unidentified flying objects (UFO), pop up from under water and sinking to the depths that it was a special group collection and analysis of such facts. Incidentally, in the Bermuda Triangle is the deepest depression of the Atlantic - Puerto Rican. Her depth of 8742 meters. Perhaps there are hidden UFO base, or rather, NGOs - unidentified underwater objects.

Google wave is really interesting
My love at first sight with Google wave is about its ability to communicate really live with other people. More live than a usual communication with Internet messengers. Because usually you must wait your IM partner to type first and after click done then you can read their message. That's quite using time actually. But this is different with Wave where you can watch what they are typing character by character (this is a new technology). So you have more time to think what to reply and not just thinking after receiving the message. So it's like we are chatting in real life.
And the best part is, there is also a button to toggle whether you want other people can watch what you are typing or not. Now that is so cool right?

Uploading photos to wave is never as easy as this. No need browse button or other tools, just drag from your My Computer and drop in wave platform, so simple!

This is the best part for me huhu. We can watch photos and also videos like Youtube videos synchronously with our partners through Google wave platform. Isn't that cute? :D

Bremen, champions in robotic soccer
24 teams from all continents, from a total of 18 countries with more than 150 team members played on 29 June to 5 July 2009 to the crown of the robot in the World Cup soccer in Graz: the winner and new world champion in the league is Bremen."The RoboCup is gone and B-Human is the first purely Bremisches-team world champion," says B-Human team leader Dr. Thomas Röfer, from the University of Bremen and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, Bremen.
"After a 7:0 in the semifinal against TT-UT Austin Villa (USA), we have the final against the Northern Bites with 5:0 for us to decide.
Bremen is the world champion and the winner of the Technical Challenge in the same year. We did this even with the German team is not done. The next competition for B-Human is the RoboCup German Open at the Hannover Fair in April 2010. Then follows the World Cup in June 2010, which will take in Singapore.

Discovering Diversity In The Tropics
William Gerwick is quite happy to tell you about his scientific expeditions to Fiji. He can expound on the amazing explorations his group has led to Madagascar, Papua New Guinea, and other destinations in search of exotic molecules that could one day lead to new treatments for human diseases.But broach the subject of Panama and it's time to get comfortable in your seat. The Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego professor's palpable enthusiasm is rooted in his laboratory's multifaceted drug discovery and training program that ranges from the Central American country's rain forest jungles to its underwater world.
Just mention a potential drug called "Coibamide" to uncork Gerwick's excitement. The island of Coiba off Panama's Pacific coast was free of human inhabitants for hundreds of years, save for the pirates that occasionally encamped there. A prison was housed in one section of the island for about a century until it closed in 2004. The rest of the island remained an undisturbed wilderness.
It was here, while exploring Coiba's shallow waters in June 2004 that Kerry McPhail, then a postdoctoral scientist working with Gerwick, discovered a cyanobacterium, a primitive photosynthetic organism with features unlike any previously encountered by scientists. Laboratory analysis and testing revealed that the organism naturally produces a potent cancer-fighting compound.
"To the full extent that we can tell, the compound is working by a novel mechanism to kill cancer cells," said Gerwick, a scientist with the Scripps Center for Marine Biotechnology and Biomedicine and the UCSD Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. "It has a very unusual molecular structure unlike any we've seen before."
Undisturbed locations such as Coiba are rare and disappearing around the world. Gerwick's research in Panama is helping to counteract that slide through a unique program that blends drug discovery from the natural world, the conservation of biodiverse sources, training for young scientists, and scientific as well as economic development in economically disadvantaged countries.
The International Cooperative Biodiversity Groups (ICBG) program, the brainchild of Josh Rosenthal and others at the Bethesda, Maryland-based Fogarty International Center, oversees a handful of programs around the world and regards Gerwick's Panamanian research center as a model of success.
"Through ICBG, we are involved in an integrative program of joint discovery that engages the host country, not only in the final rewards of drug discovery, but in the rewards that come from being engaged in the process," said Gerwick.
