A religious organization known for picketing the funerals of American soldiers and vocally opposing rights for gay and lesbian people now have the next target, Lady Gaga.
Westboro Baptist Church based in Kansas, led by Reverend Fred Phelps, issuing press release, on Tuesday in which they claimed Lady Gaga (real name Stefani Germanotta) will "go to hell" for allegedly leading a "rebellion" against God.
Message delivered by the Reverend Fred says "Merry Christmas Lady Gaga you're going to hell!"
The press release goes on to read the church intends to picket an upcoming concert of Lady Gaga's at the Fox Theatre in Missouri on January 7th.
They claim that Gaga is a ‘god hater’ and is leading her millions of teenage fans astray with her provocative songs, performances and support of gay rights.
“Lady Gaga is promoting a rebellion against God - she needs to get a Bible and change her way of life," said Reverend Fred.
